About Us

Coach White enters his 17th season at the helm of the Okanagan College Coyotes.   As a college player he was named 5 times to All Conference teams, All Region, an Honourable Mention NAIA All American, and went to the NAIA College World Series in 2004 with University of Jamestown.  White went on to play professionally with the Edmonton Cracker Cats of the Independent Northern League.  

 In 2007 he was the driving force to bring college baseball to Okanagan College.  The program has grown exponentially over the years.  2018, 2021, and 2022 culminated in winning National Championships.  The Coyotes have seen two players sign contracts with MLB teams, and currently Trevor Brigden is with Tampa Bay Rays AAA team.  Brigden was the first draft pick for the Coyotes in 2018 when he was selected in the 15th round.

White  has also been involved at the youth level coaching Provincial teams and coaching at the Toronto Blue Jays Futures Event at Rogers Center three times.   He currently is an associate scout with the San Diego Padres.

Bio Coming

Coach Swanson comes to Kelowna from Richmond, BC where he played his youth baseball.  Moving on to Treasure Valley CC in Ontario, OR he was a stand out catcher.  He signed as a free agent with the San Francisco Giants and finished his career at the AAA level.  

At the completion of his playing career he coached at the PBL level with the White Rock Tritons, PBF Redbirds and also with the UBC Thunderbirds.

Coach Buckley was a standout player for the Coyotes and a member of the 2018 National Championship team.  A product of West Kelowna minor baseball he completed his business degree in accounting.   Coach Buckley enters his 2nd year as the JV Head Coach along with being the outfield coach for the program.

Coach Barrett enters his second year on the coaching staff.  He is another product of the Coyotes program being a member of the pitching staff of the 2022 National Championship team that set a school and conference record for wins with 25.
